About SuperSnooker.org
As well as being a WPBSA Snooker Coach, I also have a real passion for the game. That's why I became a coach in the first place. This website is my hobby, and I hope that its development can help as many people as possible to learn how to play snooker.
It is my belief that snooker coaching should be available to everyone. There are not many games that are as inclusive as snooker, literally anyone can give it a go, no matter what your age, gender, ability etc. In fact many people with disabilities play snooker, and the WPBSA are eager to help to grow this area and make it as inclusive as possible
Unfortunately for many people with disabilities etc, whilst they might play snooker, coaching is something that might be more inaccessible to them. Travel might be a problem for example, or mobility. A lot of deaf people also play snooker, but again coaching can be a problem. I dare say not many coaches know how to sign, I certainly don't, but I did learn a few signs for "foul", "hey how are you?" , "26" for example. My aim is for this website to help everyone improve their game. There's written resources, pictures and videos, and I am currently experimenting with AI to produce subtitles on my videos.
For you guys with disabilities, communication barriers, or maybe you just live in an area where there are no coaches, I hope that this website is for you.
About Online Coaching
SUPERSNOOKER.ORG MISSION STATEMENT
- To provide affordable snooker coaching to as many people as possible, and as cheaply as possible
- To provide snooker coaching to those who cannot usually get coaching, people with disabilities, and to help grow the game
- To find the next Ronnie O'Sullivan, at the age of 12, and to replicate Barry Stark's success with Kyren Wilson (Congrats guys in winning the World Champs!)
- To go above and beyond in delivering this mission statement and to HAVE FUN IN DOING IT
This website helps me to deliver the above mission statement
All of my Coached Clients have full access to the members area and its online coaching programs (above and beyond). It means they can add routines into their practice, they can achieve their snooker goals during their practice and not just in coaching sessions. It helps turn your practice into your coaching
About Know Your Game
The KNOW YOUR GAME ONLINE PROGRAM is available to everyone however (to provide affordable coaching to as many people as possible).
If you can't afford in person coaching, can't access coaching, can't hear coaching......Whatever the reason, you can still do this program.
The Know Your Game program has been designed around the WPBSA White to Black Curriculum. After all I am a WPBSA Coach, and the White to Black is my "GO TO". It consists of 24 routines that must be completed on the snooker table to finish the program.
There are 6 levels (Red to Black) with 4 tasks to complete for each level. As a WPBSA Coach I will assign a WPBSA Certificate when each level has been achieved. For clients I coach in person this is not so much of a problem. For everyone else unfortunately I have to see you complete these tasks before you can progress. For this reason I have added the ability for you to upload videos of yourself completing these tasks. Of course you have coaching resources to help you along the way (affordable coaching to as many people as possible)
It's always a good idea to be recording your practice sessions anyway. How else are you going to really know what your game looks like? You can use your phone, and by doing this we can provide ONLINE SNOOKER COACHING. Coaching to anyone in the world if they want it
Why Join SuperSnooker.org?
IF YOU LIVE IN LEEDS and play snooker then you definitely need to join SuperSnooker.org. Yes it's slightly biased towards coaching but here at SuperSnooker we're building a community. The more members we have, the more we can do. That means events, competitions, group coaching, cuezones and more.
IF YOU LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE you can always try the online coaching programs
This website is quite new. More and more content will be added over the coming days, weeks, months and years
